Kolkata Metro Underground Section
The line which would connect Howrah and Sealdah Railway Stations, two of the busiest railway stations in the world and which would pass under Hooghly river, the first such river crossing in the country. There is a challenge for tunnel passing beneath the bed of Hoogly river where soil property is very sensitive. Also, Vent shaft is very near to Hoogly and new Mahakaran. The Underground section project is starting from Howrah Maidan to new Mahakaran.
SYSTRA India has been appointed to provide Detailed Design Consultancy services of Architecture, Civil, Structure, Geotechnical, Tunnel Engineering & Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) for temporary & permanent works of 3 Underground Stations (namely Howrah Maidan, Howrah & New Mahakaran) along with intermediate Twin Bored Tunnels, Cross over, cross passages & intermediate vent shaft.It includes:
- Preliminary Design
- Definitive Design
- Construction Reference Drawings
- Combined Services Drawings (CSD) supported by Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Working Drawings as Built Drawings
